Job Description
Job Title: Team Leader - Children's Residential Home
Location: Albrighton, Shropshire
Hours of work: Full time on a rota basis including sleep ins (At least three per month)
Salary: Circa £43000 inlcusive of sleep in allowance and achievable bonus opportunities
In partnership with a well-established and respected childcare provider, I am seeking skilled, experienced, and committed team leaders for one of their homes located in the picturesque village of Albrighton, Shropshire. Their mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people, offering them the support and guidance they need to thrive and reach their full potential.
Position Overview:
As Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of dedicated care professionals. You will be instrumental in ensuring the welfare and development of the children in your care, providing guidance, support, and creating a positive and homely atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of care staff, ensuring they provide high-quality care, support, and supervision to the children.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all residents.
- Develop and implement care plans and individual goals for each child, in collaboration with the wider team and external agencies.
- Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and training to your team, promoting professional development and a positive working atmosphere.
- Foster positive relationships with the children, their families, and external professionals involved in their care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our services, actively participating in team meetings and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards, including Ofsted regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a residential care setting for young people or equivalent
- A deep commitment to the welfare and development of children and young people.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary, as well as sleep ins (at least 3 per month)
