Housing Support Worker
Llanelli
Full Time

We are working in partnership with a fantastic organisation who provide support to those facing homelessness and vulnerably housed people.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours a week Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm, however there may be a requirement to work outside of these hours.

This role is based in Llanelli and provides housing related support, with the aim of preventing recurring homelessness and increasing independence.
You will assist with referrals and liaise with relevant agencies and individuals with or on behalf of service users. You will provide residential support and enable service users address housing difficulties, personal difficulties and build their skills.

You will ensure that independence is maintained by accompanying initially in order to familiarise them with an activity or appointment.
Carrying out daily duties that will include, assisting with the delivery of project inductions, and providing information, advice and guidance that enables service users to make informed decisions.

You will maintain regular communication with Senior Support Workers and ensure that records of all service users accessing the service are maintained.

Although the project is based in Llanelli, travel across Carmarthenshire and surrounding may also be required.

The skills and experience that we are looking for;

• Experience of providing to support to vulnerable people
• Experience of dealing with challenging situations
• Full driving license and access to your own vehicle.
• Confident and able to work lone work on your own initiative.
