BS Social Care presents an exciting new opportunity that has arisen to work as a Young Person Housing Support Worker for an outstanding homeless and housing support organisation.

The employer is an outstanding organisation based in South Ribble, Leyland and Chorley that helps the young people and homeless to find more permanent accommodation.

Your role will entail helping the service users to manage their benefits and help them to find permanent accommodation whether it be with the local authority or with private landlords. You will also support with practical life skills as well as emotional support.

The successful candidate will be empathetic and compassionate as well as someone who is wanting to go above and beyond to do what is best for the service users. You will also be expected to be a good listener as well as a good judge of character.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of the sector whether it be personal or profession and willing to but that knowledge into practice. You must also hold a full UK driving license.

This is predominantly a 30 hours position, however there is potential for the hours to increase to 36.5 hours per week.
